At midcoast dive instruction, the goal is to provide affordable SCUBA instruction to the southern Maine and midcoast area. We believe a SCUBA course is much more than mandated time studying for an exam or time in a pool - we believe that it is a ticket to an entirely new world full of incredible beauty, unique wildlife, and unforgettable experiences.
Our goal is to create a community of like-minded SCUBA divers from all walks of life, right here in the beautiful state of Maine and beyond. It all begins with your Open Water Course. This entry-level course gives you the initial skills of diving and gives you the chance to practice and master the foundation of your SCUBA journey.

Once you get your Open Water Certification and get a few dives under your belt, it’s time to continue training. Advanced Open Water Diver gives you the ability to expand your diving skills and knowledge, allowing you to explore a wider range of dive sites and diving conditions.

For those looking to expand their dives and spend more time under the waves, our Nitrox course covers the principles and physiology of utilizing Enriched Air Nitrox, to enhance dive planning.

We offer Advanced Nitrox courses for the certified Nitrox diver who is looking to expand their understanding and planning of using Enriched Air Nitrox, to include the use of up to 100% Oxygen.

For those who are looking to take their diving to new depths, this course prepares divers for planned-stage decompression diving to depths of up to 150 feet of sea water.

For those looking to push their diving to the limits and explore up to 180 feet deep, our Extended Range Diving course empowers divers to properly plan and execute safe mission objectives.
First response training

We offer a full suite of First Response Courses taught with the SCUBA diver in mind. All of our courses and certifications are ILCOR, OSHA, and USCG Compliant.
